I had a set of these mason jar sprouting lids way back about 40 yrs ago that were lost over time ...to my surprise I found them on Amazon. Along with the lids I also ordered sprouting seeds ...just another way you can garden all year long even in Alaska!

Good to know! I'm off to Amazon to take a look!

Well....that's AMAZING! All that interesting STUFF! Thanks, FJ.

I have been thinking about it, but would probably get these stainless steel ones, because I try to limit plastics in my life as much as possible…they’ve been in my “Save For Later” cart for a while. I’ve also been looking at some hydroponics. While I do not have any land on which to grow, my enclosed lanai gets a lot of indirect light. I’m still thinking about this stuff, though.

I had, and may still have those lids. I also had the seeds, I wonder if I still do....

I used cheesecloth and rubber bands......no reason to use anything else IMO....decades ago every household had cheesecloth.
