I saw this really interesting flower today. What is it? I assume it's a perennial. It resembles thistle.

Eryngium, or sea holly. If you have soil that they like they can be a beautiful intense blue.

It might be blue star sea holly. I googled the image and they look the same.

They are indeed perennial to zone 3
