I built one last week out of old scrap pipe. Trying some pole beans this year!

@Sheannutt Not very well. Okra works well alive and dead.

@Sheannutt There are tons of insect activities happening on the plant as well and okra taste great fried.

@AstralSmoke Plus you can make handmade paper from the inside of the okra bark.

@farmboy2017 Yes, not many people know that!

@farmboy2017, @Sheannutt Boiled is barf. In a casserol is ok.

@Sheannutt
Exactly !

@AstralSmoke I can do okra in some gumbo but not stand alone boiled- gak!!!

@Sheannutt I planted pole beans around my sunflowers that are about 3-4 feet tall. No spouts, yet.

@farmboy2017 I usually use a trellis, but I plant pole beans around tomato plants. The pole beans do the tying for you.

@Sheannutt I will if it works!!

@AstralSmoke Do you have pictures?

@farmboy2017 I will.

@farmboy2017 The first photo is one bean plant growing around a tomato plant. It's amazing how sturdy the tomato plant is. The second photo is one bean trying its very best to assist a Leather Flower by giving the Leather Flower places to grab onto. The Leather Flower doesn't seem to be figuring this out so well though. I'm experimenting with two and three bean plants as well. They're a very helpful plant.

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
