My grapes are small, but they taste wonderful! Just the right sweet/tart. Things I learned for next year: prune vines more, earlier, and throughout the season. Thin fruit clusters to one per branch. Have bags ready to protect from birds as soon as they start to sweeten.

The idea of being able to grow grapes here, is at least another 1.5C global warming or more away.

I've been toying with the idea of putting in a half acre of grape vines as they do very well on the big wine growing island about half an hour west of my island. Did you find it hard getting them up and producing? Was it hard to keep the deer from eating them when they were young?

Very cool! We have a winery around the corner and it's a lot of fun to see them put in more vines.
