He had some really great songs and is a part of Canadiana.
Gordon Lightfoot used to live in the basement of the house I had on Lake Couchiching, he was dating the daughter of the Hollywood producer who owned it, he moved out before we moved in but the stories. 
A friend hooked me up with tickets to his birthday concert at Massey Hall in Toronto, we were front and center with his mother and sister beside us. A really memorable concert.
