I would like to propose a new rule. And get peoples in put on it. This is a garden group let’s try and keep the post to just gardening. I personally don’t have a problem with fishing hunting or eating of animals. But some people in this group do and are vegan or vegetarians. I saw nothing wrong with the fishing post and didn’t give it a second thought. I now see why it might have been a little disturbing to some of our fellow gardeners. So I propose that we keep all future posts on the subject of gardening and no pics of animals that might be considered being hurt or harmed. I would like to keep this group as inclusive and free of conflict as much as possible.

Just pointing out he has a pond in his garden, lol. And what about people that raise chickens? Where do you draw the line? Isn't gardening, farming, recreation all related? My two cents.

I agree I have chickens I raise for eggs and meat. I post pics of them once in a while I wouldn’t post pics of me processing them. This the reason for the post to see where we want to line or if we even want a line at all.
I totally agree that posts in the Gardening group should be gardening-related and hope that others will note that the tone of your request is polite and respectful.
There are dozens of groups on his website, and a member who has a particular interest but cannot find an appropriate group should start and announce a group based on that interest.
Regardless of one's attitude towards the food chain, this group is about only one aspect of it - gardening. I agree that posts should be limited to those that are related to gardening.
I am an avid Chicago Cubs fan, but I believe that if I began to post daily "Cubs updates" in the "trump Pinata" group it would be received like a "lead piñata."

This omnivore is becoming vegan for health and climate. Incidentally, animals aren't killed to satisfy my palate.

I'm always torn between our gardening group & the food glorious food group when posting about garden produce being prepared for later use in cooking. (See my latest post). Is this still OK based on you thought?
