Hello Gardeners, Today I picked the rest of my watermelons, and still getting plenty of tomatoes and winter Squash (spaghetti squash) The zucchini ,yellow squash, and cucumbers are all gone. I still have a lot of corn that I left on the stalks to dry out for the birds and some to grind up for corn meal.
A goodly haul Ken. What will you do with all that melon?
I was wondering the same - sharing?
@kenriley You could also freeze it for later drinking / mush slurping - the children usually love it on hot days frozen on a stick - or easier freeze in polystyrene cups or egg cups then freezer bag out of the cup. To use simply hold a fork under the hot water and melt into the frozen mush to hold - corn cob holders also work.
@kenriley ? Enjoy!
Are they sugar babys? The best tasting water melons! ( if they are) And what
type of tomatoes are those? Good harvest!
whoah- grand & great! I could only make a picture of five alpine strawberries quite a few herbs & about four half green half red tomatoes so far - we had a pretty miserable summer highest heat eon record but too early on - plus hosepipe ban then pretty much lost interest and went to the shop.
I checked the few survivors from my corn planting this year and the bumper crop of raccoons carried off every last ear. There are twice as many raccoons as usual this year so I guess they are extra hungry. Nice haul,the watermelons look great.
@kenriley GO THOR!!

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
