My garden minions are calling for the start of new plants. My Canna Lily bed was wiped out by the early cold fronts/ice storms this year. I gathered lots of seeds before we left for NZ. Returning home I managed to salvage some calia lily seed pods too. I'll start them when my peat pots arrive from Amazon. Appropriately, the winter solstice.
Good luck, hope they retain their original genetics, they were beautiful flowers. If not surprises are great, too.
There's always that chance. The Calla lilies are the basic white flower which I think is the "wild" version. Not sure about the Canna lilies.
There's a thought . My plants tend to dry because I don't always water them properly , If I plant a garden in the shower , it would be so much easier .
Yep. A flexible hose shower attachment... 20 seconds! Plants, floor, cats.... all watered!!!
You - are a true gardener! I'm too lazy to start things from see - I just wait for the first arrivals of seedlings to hit the nurseries. I know, three lashes with a limp asparagus....
Nonsense. We are ALL "true gardeners". I just get really bored in the winter.
@OwlInASack see that's exactly what I do!
