I harvested quite a few tomatoes today...gave some to the new neighbor next door before bringing these in.

Beauties. I used to have tomatoes nearly year round here. But now the critters eat them. I'm going to try again, we'll see.

It's time to start plants from seeds here.

@MissKathleen I have three plus spots. I plant stuff just about anywhere though.

Nice harvest, nothing but snowballs here.

Those are looking scrumptious!

This is what I've got going....

@MissKathleen I so miss the lushness of late spring and summer. But I do appreciate the annual bug/rodent reduction.

@MissKathleen My compost pile is less than 100 feet from my house. I've never had problems with anything except the occasional possum looking for eggshells.

@MissKathleen Only you can know the answer.

Look at that ripeness! No gases involved! I can smell them from here!

@MissKathleen just pure “wanting” on my part! Tomatoes are one of the things I can smell though! Lost my sense of smell years ago and some has come Back, although usually the bad smells!

@MissKathleen Bad, because you lose taste too! I have got to where I smell a rose and I get “flower “ but not what kind. The first three years was nothing at all, so am happy with what I got!

One of the nice things about being a gardener is sharing the harvest.

@MissKathleen We use to this stuff and have had too much practice. But this is supposed to be a bad one. I'm in Cato, NW of Syracuse

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
