I planted two of these about 20 odd years back, they sure know how to multiply, but pretty good ground cover, seldom get weeds in there...

Wow, I have a bunch and it amazes me how they send up a long shoot which drops down and transplants itself. I would love for these succulents to move into areas I constantly have to weed.

I have never seen a patch that big here in the UK, except perhaps on a roof. It was traditionally grown on rooftops and was thought to stop lightening striking. which is how it got the name Houseleek I am told. Houseleek just means house plant, because "leek" once just meant plant.

I have one plant in a pot and havce to coddle and pamper them.I don't think it likes our cold and snowy winters, or just me.

As prolific as rabbits but not as tasty? 😂

Mine spread like mad but then tend to die out from the middle. Those look really healthy.

Looks like ice plant. It’s the scourge of the North Coast, lol. I think they planted it for erosion back in the fifties. I don’t see it as much now, so they have been working on it! Now the biggest plant pest there is Scottish broom.

This kind is like a big Hen & Chicks--looking at them from above you'd be able to tell easily. Ice plant does seem to get those red tips some time of year though, doesn't it?

@Carin Yes. Does this have the flowers?

@Hathacat Yes, like other hens & chicks type plants, not like an iceplant.

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
