Beautiful! I am just now trying to get a butterfly garden going. Unfortunately, all the milkweed, butterfly weed, cone flowers, and stoke's asters I have planted are still tiny seedlings. It can't come fast enough, but I am trying to enjoy the process. I am learning more and more about flowering "weeds" in my local area and their importance.
I saw my first Monarch visitor of the spring just the other day!

They are all quick growing things don't worry.
Your garden should mature in about 3-5 years. In the mean time, keep on plantIng 
Joe Pye weed. Major butterfly habitat and you can usually dig a piece out of a dried up ditch. It's been mowed down for decades as a nuisance weed.
@freeofgod Thanks! I actually working up the front edge of my property, a 60 by 5 ft swath between my front sidewalk and the drainage ditch along the road. And yes, the weeds in there that typically get mowed are rather interesting. I am looking for a balance that won't upset my neighbors (who all worship traditional close-cropped lawns) but will actually be butterfly and bee friendly.
So beautiful! I still have Monarchs being born every few days here.
