I am reminded of that animated 2012 movie, "The Pirates: Band of Misfits," in which Charles Darwin accidentally discovers that the "parrot" possessed as a mascot by the hapless pirates who attack his vessel on his expedition is actually a Dodo bird, and he tricks the crew into taking him all the way back to England, where they should be arrested and hanged and he would then be freed, all because he tells them the thought-to-be-extinct dodo will fetch them a fortune, but only if taken to the heart of "civilized" scientific society. Then when Queen Victoria hears of it, she turns out to belong to a secret society of wealthy despots who are hell bent on a sick game of impressing each other by killing and eating and serving to each other the rarest of rare creatures....so much for conservation!! Ah, humans! What would nature do without us? (Rhetorical question; don't answer that, lol)

Most excellent use of technology!

Glad it's in an area inaccessible to humans .

The geology and biology (and thus, its' ecology) of that Island ( Kauai) is phenomenal! I took two helicopter rides in Hawaii when I was there...spent lots of $$ but the adventure was so worth it....

I took my kids there years ago, and we did a horseback ride through some hills, allowing us a view of Puff the Magic Dragon - a beautiful rendition via land formation across the valley!
