My azaleas will be fully in bloom in another few days - I think. Cool mountain temps allow everything to bloom out in waves of color - unlike in SC - where it seemed like everything "popped" at once. These wild ferns are just poking their heads up - they grow wild all over this property....
Looks like you have some nice landscaping going on. I wouldn't have thought middle TN would be two weeks behind us here in Chattanooga.
Is that a real bird?
@FrayedBear this one is not.....but birds have come and splashed in it after a good rain...
@AstralSmoke Thanks - I wish I could post a panoramic view because it really is spectacular right now. It's taken 8 yrs to get it to this point - most of the major projects are done now so it's just tweaking here and there, adding annual color, etc. Everything seems to be running a little "late" this year - ????? - we are in the plateau and it seems to have its own little "micro-climate".
@Lavergne I have a few of those around. . . . along with bunches of artificial flowers - they do not need watering or fertilising!
Irises are in bloom. Dogwoods, violets, and azaleas have already done there thing. I love this time of year!
Me too!
@Heidi68 Yes, we're close to the same latitude. NC is generally a bit warmer than TN though. Here's to spring!
@AstralSmoke I am at the edge of the mountains so not much warmer. Cheers
@Heidi68 I'm on the other side.
