In case anyone is interested in my vanilla pollination experiment - after about 18 days I think, I have a fair few pods forming on the lower 3 clumps of flowers. In the first picture you see the one clump with dried-up pollinated flowers (if not pollinated they fall off quickly), and the stalk each is on, is elongating and widening to form the pod (it will take 9 months until brown and ready to pick). On the second photo you see a clump of flowers I can't reach so all the stalks are short and most of the flowers have fallen off, ie. no pollination. (US Virgin Islands).
