This always blows my mind.....each year the trilliums bloom out white and then about 10 days later - boom - they're pink!

You need to have a talk with your pollinators . Someone's cross pollinated your flowers for you .

Ooooh, you have the magical mutation species!!

They just "magically" appeared a couple of years ago. I have no idea whether the previous owner had planted them or not - but I've not seen them in any of the local nurseries, so I suspect not. The cat uprooted two of the three - I managed to save this one and it likes its new home. I'm keeping an eye on a little sprout that might be another one - its still too small to tell.

apparently, if you leave them alone, that's one of mother nature's quirky little surprises.... I love it. My husband is convinced that I'm "doing something".....hahahaha
