Mowing will be my tomorrow, for I dare not miss a week until about June, it grows so fast! We have wild garlic in all the planting beds, which fortunately keep to open soil. I've been on a mission to pull them up, bulbs barely 1/2", while the soil is evenly moist to reduce the regrowth next year. There is at least a week without rain coming up (!), so I'll be busy with them also. Oh, and a trip to a local nursery to grab another Pacific Ninebark to shade the rock garden out front, and hopefully a Rhythmic Blue hydrangea to hang out with the ferns in back.
@Allamanda Yes, I found that book early in college, and was entranced! Gave me a whole new appreciation for the nature I'd always valued, but since then in a more deliberate manner.
I have my granddaughter visiting tonight, she's almost 2.5 years old. We went for a walk and she was fascinated by the flowering trees. So I got her up close and personal with them, and she plucked a petal off a flower. She was fascinated by it! It is so cool to watch them learn.
