Remember that sprouted organic sweet potato piece that I planted a few months back? I kind of lost interest in it because “people” told me it would just grow lots of roots and no sweet potatoes, that you “have” to start sweet potatoes from slips, so I quit watering it a couple weeks ago. This afternoon, I went out to clean out the rest of the dead growth in the garden, now that the hot weather is here. When I pulled the sweet potato plants, I noticed a little orange “something” and guess what?! They were really close together and many are small. The vines didn’t really have a lot of space to spread out, so I guess that’s why. But you CAN grow sweet potatoes from an organic sweet potato sprout.

@MissKathleen Someone is a really dedicated gardener. It is a lot of work but what do you do with all your bounty?I found I often had too much and hated to see things spoil.

@MissKathleen This reminds me of a joke here. Never leave your door open in early fall. Otherwise you may come home and find a bunch of Zucchini on your counter (and it's often large and seedy that many people have but don't want to throw away).

Just like their white potato cousins.

Wow! Wonderful, I wondered about your plant. I still have mine in the bucket. I'll dig it out now. You have encouraged me. 🤗😄

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
