What do you do with so many tomatoes?
I make tomato sauce and freeze it for winter...
@FrostyJim Wow, ambitious year-round!
I see you keep it quite warm! Does the higher utility bill cancel out the savings from growing your own food?
I only heat my greenhouse in the early spring when it can still freeze at night. In our long sunny summer days it is too much solar heat that is a problem - but tomatoes do not mind 100 F on a sunny afternoon. It cools off to the low 50's at night. It will run 80-100 on a sunny day even with a vent fan and the door open.
Our outdoor temps now are in the mid 70's
By the way... by exhaust fan is solar powered and my self watering irrigation system is gravity fed - no electricity needed !
Very nice, Home Depot also sells the white, food grade containers. Are you going hydroponic or aquaponic?
Neither - these are SIPS - Sub Irrigated Planters. These are working very well for for me. You can read about them on my website if interested: AlaskaGrowBuckets.com
