Build a nice birdhouse and they will come. apparently - someone told the cat that, too

Were the birds gone already?

Zoohome Level 8 July 3, 2019

Yep. Finches.

@bigpawbullets I am glad they had already left. (sorry for late response)

@Zoohome
No worries.
My neighbor who works at a pre-tribe Indian museum/archeological site is bringing me a bunch of large bottle gourds from there upon harvest. Lots of gourd-houses for our birds next spring!

Squirrels I assume? Those critters sure get into everything they shouldn't. LOL

A line with a squirrel shield on it works well. I prefer cable to rope since it will last years longer. I had one that was up for 20 years until the branch came down in a storm.

oh no! Yeah, we use a rope and pulley system for our feeder to keep it high off the ground...our neighbors have black bears visiting and we can't have that with children playing in the woods!

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
