Had Hurricane Irma (Cat 4) hit my island in 2017. This was my backyard three days later. Been a slow recovery. Took a year to just remove the dead trees etc. to begin over again.

We were hit by Hurricane Ike and Harvey . Ike left us without power for 11 days . Harvey took out a lot of homes and businesses .

Didn't you also get Rita back in 2005? Harvey was devastating to you guys. I remember the horrible flooding. That's why I live in a stilt house. Living in the Florida Keys is hurricane ally. Leaves do't change color. They blow off in the fall. Picture is my home after Hurricane Wilma in 2005.

It would be interesting to see a "now" picture to see what you have done!

Stay tuned. BUT I have a long way to go.

@ChurchLess That is so COOL!

Her buds appears in one/two days. The bloom opens at dawn. It lasts about 4-5 hours. Bees love her. By noon they are wilted & drop the remains of the flower be evening. They bloom from Aprilish - to last week. I know they're females because they sprout flowers only when she feel like it. The picture is one of our Key Deer having breakfast.

@ChurchLess I love blooming cacti and that one is wonderful!

@Hathacat My paddle cactus had over 300 flowers the year.

@ChurchLess More pictures please!!!

@Hathacat How about a day on the water?

@Hathacat

@ChurchLess When I lived on Maui the Bouganvillia was used as a hedge. Love it. What is the tree?

@ChurchLess Happy people and pups!

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
