How cool is this?!! World's largest blooming flower:
[r.search.yahoo.com]
Imagine "perfuming" your garsen with THAT!
I thought that it was the smelly one.
The article called out that this one has a foul smell, also - "parasitic properties and repugnant stench". Interesting that falls to giant blooms, right?
Interesting article, it illustrates too why we have scientific names as well as local names, Indonesia has 2 flowers both locally called corpse flowers. Amorphophallus titanum, or Titan arum and Rafflesia arnoldii both of which lay a valid claim to world's largest flower, Titan arum is not technically a single flower though it can weigh as much as 170 pounds but Rafflesia is the widest and is a single flower.

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
