Will e picking my first green beans of the year this afternoon. Tomorrow, will have a meal of green beans cooked with bacon and hot skillet cornbread with a crunchy crust. Already anticipating the meal.

Nice! Looking forward to green beans this summer. I have not yet planted my summer veggies. I am just now done with the green peas, which did really well. Gotta rip them out and plant cucumbers. My broccoli is not quite finished producing yet. My winter lettuces I planted a bit late, so they are still maturing, which means I can't plant the sweet corn yet, which means the pole beans I want to have climb the corn stalks have to wait a little longer. I am still learning how to time this stuff. I had not grown vegetables in this location before.
