Exciting to see your irises and your rose is in that color range I like. A friend gave me one along with a truck load of things out of his garden to either keep or put up for raffling for a group I'm in. But he described the color as a very special blue. There is a flower emerging from the foliage now. That alone is just about worth the price of admission. What an alien configuration.

I'll have to post a photo to see if what is doing is normal. Seems so weird to me. But I'm attracted to weird plants so that is good. I've kept it in a pot as I have no experience with them but suspect there isn't any ground in my garden which I water reliably enough to make it happy.

I have several Iris in a pot - they multiply quickly so I am going to have to thin them this year. They do wonderful in the pot - at least so far (4 years at this point).

I am not a typical gardner - I something I like, I buy it & then just put it wherever.... no rhyme nor reason.

@Heidi68 I think you just described most of us. I try hard not to buy any plant for which I cannot imagine a place in the garden where it could go. But I’m not always successful.

@Heidi68 this is where I think one of its flowers is forming. I wonder if I should move it’s pot into the sun more?

@MarkWD how thick are the leaves? Mine are tall, a couple of inches wide but very thin. And mine are pretty much in full sun.

@Heidi68 mi e are also tall, wide but incredibly thin. I find that so weird but I like it.

thank you. I love the color - so deep unlike my other ones which are pale blue

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
