It's a good year so far for the plants. Our mail-box garden is producing lots of strawberries. It's a battle between my wife and the chipmunks on who gets them. And the Yuccas are going to bloom this year!!

Here is a brief video on how yucca is treated in many yards in Australia. Personally I prefer seeing them encouraged to branch and grow full size rather than the more favoured (anal?) stripping featured in the video.

Yuccas do well is drought regions , and have beautiful flowers . I understand the American Indians used the roots as vegetables, though I've never tried them .
