Has anybody ever grown any of these?

I'm pretty sure this is the black magic iris. I've got a few blooming right now. Gorgeous!

@Sheannutt the pattern in the center is just remarkable. It's my most unusual flower.

I have a black cherry in my front yard. It attracts Tiger Swallowtail, Red Spotted Purples and all kinds of birds.
Black Callas are a favorite.
The so called Bat Orchid is not an orchid, but a member of the Amyrillidaceae family. Treat similar to Spathiphyllum.

None of these varieties, but many. They're all easy to grow around here. I would believe it'd be possible in Oregon as well. Are you into dark? Goth perhaps?

I've grown black coleus and also black tulips. They are quite nice but I like them with a lot of contrast - preferably lime green. I saw a picture of a whole bed of assorted black flowers and foliage and it looked sad to me. A matter of taste, though. I've grown black beans and they were interesting to look at. they tasted just the same as green ones.

No but I would love to try and get some. Bet that would be awesome to see once they all bloomed.

I've grown some purple sweet potato vine but none of the others. I have a crepe myrtle with black leaves that I like a lot.

I had one of those petunias one year. Very striking but never found it again in any greenhouse I shopped in. Some of those unique hybrids are manipulated to be sterile, think that was one as none of the seeds from it germinated. I also plant a purple/dark sweet potato some years but not sure it is that one. It does look striking "running"out of a hanging planter.

No, but I listen to The Dead Tongues singing Black Flower Blooming.

I grow a variety of coleus. Very easy to propagate from cuttings, so I take cuttings and plant all summer. Pinch the tops for fuller plants.

Some like shade or part shade only, some will tolerate direct sun (at least here in central Il).

When I had my home north of Nashville, TN...I had the black tulips, hollyhocks, and iris growing there (also black/dark puple roses)....they were beautiful and I also had all pink flowers to contrast with them in my flower beds. It was lovely.
