I had a visitor early this morning, a Texas spiny lizard warming up on my steps. I'm pretty sure that this little guy has been munching on my dragon fruit, cactus and insects are fair game on their diet.

Homegrown sugar free pickled beets with pearl onions. I love these but store bought are loaded with sugar and blow my low carb diet. Now need to freeze a huge bag of greens.

We are lucky here in the UK, in that the climate means that we can grow and naturalize Snowdrops, ( Galanthus ). Just coming through now, like an early promise of spring in mid winter.

So, I wasn't sure, yet again, where this would be most appropriate. But seems I've a lot more folks I'm comfortable with here as opposed to the "Food Glorious Food" thread. And this involves fresh vegetables from ours and friends gardens so.........
