Check who was president and the popular vote at the time FAUX News came into being... It was a start up during Clinton's second term and helped put GW Bush into the Whitehouse.... Remember he wasn't a legitimate president either. The Supreme court had to block the Florida recount and he lost the popular vote as well....

If by "we" he means the USA in general, this is not true. Faux News existed long before 2016. But it took a Fake President to call Faux News real and real news fake.
But if by "we" he means 60 Minutes on CBS, then this may be a true meme.
It would also be true if by "news" he means what comes out of the president's mouth, and not televised news reporting.
