Titanic, they could have done that movie in 30 minutes for all it was worth. Any Star Wars movies.. I know I am the minority here but I made it through about 30 minutes and that was it for me but I am a huge old Treckie fan. Any Quintin Tarantino movies... bad.. just bad.
Honestly I am with you ... Titanic it surely was!! Proper slush.
"Heaven's Gate" is certainly dreadful. It's got competition for the worst film ever, but it is by far the worst film ever produced by a major studio with a multi-million dollar budget, an all-star cast, and an Oscar-winning director. Ended his career PDQ, I'm not even sure watching it on Mystery Science Theater would help.
While I can't say it's the worst film I ever seen "Terms of Endearment" is the only movie I have ever walked out on. Ridiculous, unsympathetic characters, plot lines too silly even for soap operas, and the idiotic idea that someone would get stoned and then listen to Broadway show tunes, and then, of course, the 'tear-jerking' death of the Deborah Winger character which is simply unbelievable (my first wife managed to stay for the whole thing and she told me what I can only describe as incredibly predictable plot events.) The only move where I can say that mysterious, masked gunmen suddenly appearing and slaughtering the main characters would still have failed to make the movie interesting. Absolutely loathe it.
The dishonor for worst film I tried to watch belongs to the horrifying "Death to Smoochie" My wife and I rented "Death to Smoochie" because it had Robin Williams in it. The only unfunny "comedy" he ever made. We stopped watching the DVD after about twenty minutes. So while I didn't finish it, technically I didn't walk out on it. Positively wretched.
I should note I also stopped watching Anthony Hopkins' "Slipstream" mainly because it was incomprehensible. And that's the good part about it.
Yeah but.....
And that's a version with like 3 minutes edited!
@EricTrommater Wow! Just wow! There's a movie I don't ever have to see.
My list of "worst movies" is long. Heaven's Gate is definitely on it.
Here are just a few more.
There's Something About Mary.
This Is The End.
Both Ace Ventura movies.
Dumb and Dumber.
Titanic.
Avatar.
Anything with Chris Farley.
Anything with Will Farrell. I fucking HATE Elf.
All the movies with Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, especially Far And Away.
Most horror/slasher movies.
I like "Avatar," and "Far and Away" (I'm from Oklahoma.) Agree completely about "Titanic." Made a tragedy both boring and annoying. Favorite story about that: Was talking to a prof while on a job interview and the film came up and the man said: "And behind me, I heard one young woman say to her friend, 'Oh, my good, I think it's going to sink.'"
Apollo 18 has got to rank right up there! Execrable!
Crash was freaking awful. People with a fetish for being mangled? Miss me with that.
Wow again? How did I miss these awful films?
"Black Sheep" by the makers of "Bad Taste" which reminds me of the "Toxic Avenger". Black Sheep though is both the worst movie I have ever seen and one of the best.
Very good choice! Although there is nothing in Black Sheep quite as bad as a guy playing a fiddle while roller skating backwards for 7 minutes like in Heaven's Gate.
Is that the horror movie from new zealand? I loved that tbh
@EricTrommater haha !!! Cheers dude. I'm googling Heaven's Gate.. Not a Jar of Glue!
