Me too. My ex mellowed with age! 
As long as we maintain safe distancing and I do whatever she requires, we get along fine.
I dated the same person for 3 years and was married to her for 8 more years before she burned down our house and tried to frame me for arson. Ah the memories or as I like to refer to them, nightmares. lol

So nobody should be surprised that I received a phone call from a buddy who was high up in a biker gang, telling me that I should probably get out of town as the soon to be EX was asking around his club to see if someone would take a contract on me for $10k. Steve said that he had turned down the 'bonus' she had offered him if he set it up for her. Apparently the very idea that I might be breathing the same air on the same planet as her was totally unacceptable to her.
You can't fix crazy but you can enjoy the whirlwind ride for a while and then get out of Dodge before it kills you. lol
