I’m new. I lost my husband 12/27/17 after nearly 38 years. I miss him so much but I find I’m doing better than I thought I would. I think we did a good job of making sure we left nothing unsaid. But I do miss having smart conversation.

I wish you the best; I lost my wife only about a year before your loss, but I'm thinking you were better prepared than I was, even though we knew it was coming. Maybe denial, maybe just not wanting to dwell on the inevitable.
Still, you sound like your ahead of the curve and looking forward rather than backward. Good for you. Be well young lady and keep posting.
Heartfelt condolences on your loss. having shared so much of your life together, you're gonna miss him, it's only natural. glad you say you are doing well though, i couldn't say that for several years. it's now creeping up on four years for me and it's still rough, some times harder than others. i also miss good conversations shared. hard coming home to a house devoid of human companionship . . .
