I guess it’s a bit of a cheat to include this one in World Group….but it’s my own rules I’m bending when I include George Ezra’s new single which will probably shoot up the charts and be a massive hit for him….its all because of the title you see….We Fell In Love At The End Of The World.

He's so good.

He is!

I don't understand how anyone can stand singing a song with so many repeating lyrics. We'll no doubt see if you are correct about his imminent success.

He’s already extremely successful…and the repetition especially in the chorus is pretty standard in most pop songs. That’s not new …even the Beatles songs were pretty repetitive if you just stop and think….Get back, get back, get back to where you/once belong….

@Marionville Absolutely right👍 I recall Hey Jude had nothing but 'Hey Jude" repeated for the last 2 or 3 minutes of the song and it was a no. 1 hit!

@Ray13 I rest my case!

@Marionville Yes, M, I fully agree and it is an aspect of pop music that frustrates me. I didn't mind in the 60s when the beat and vogue mattered. Cliff's early songs had often only two verses. Meanwhile (then) I was singing ancient ballads with many verses (The House Carpenter, The Bold Grenadier).
Once the amplifiers got loud enough the lyrics became irrelevant.
