Yesterday I posted ABBA performing Waterloo on 6th April 1974 when they won the Eurovision Song Contest but I failed to say that yesterday was actually Agnetha Faltskog of ABBA’s birthday…she is 74. Born in 1950 that means she had just turned 24 the day before she and the others won the competition for Sweden. So today I think a post of something by Agnetha after ABBA broke up and she went solo is in order to wish her happy birthday. Here she does a great cover of 60s Jackie DeShannon hit - When You Walk In The Room…

Oh, the music then was so much better! Songs whose words one could hear. A lot of others involved in this production. I wonder how much money she made out of it. Thanks.

I think she was quite successful as a solo artiste …so yes she probably did make money but I’d think she was already pretty well set up from ABBA sales & royalties so it wouldn’t be purely for the money.
