Not a joke but I need to tell the world.. Today I am a grandfather.. 9lbs 6oz and 20 inches of little kid coming to the world! I am elated!

I have a bunch, and after I retired, had a little grand kid over a day a week, usually starting when about 18 months up until they were in kinder garden. Loved that time, down on the floor with the doll house or trucks and tractors. Enjoy.

Many congratulations . My dad was deginated sitter while my Mom and sister went shopping. When they returned the livingroom floor had books, magazines, toys and crayons. The kitchen had pots and pans on the and the kids (grandpa and granddaughter) were making music. My mom pitched a fit at the mess and Dad's like, but we were having fun!! Spoil your grandchild silly!!

Calm down grandad, you're not the first nor the last but it does remind me of my father and his fourth grandchild who at the age of three thought it would be funny to climb on the arm of the big box arm chair his granfather fell asleep in for most of the day. From the arm of the chair he leapt as high as he could to land feet first on him. Naturally awakened by such rude assault my father, only a very slight office worker all his life, backhanded the lad off his knee so hard that my sister, the boy's mother, was still complaining about it 3 years later saying "child brutality". I just said "elder abuse and at such a young age. Furthermore condoned by his mother responsible for him".
And the really sad part? Both daughter and father are now dead. Before long the three year old may have his grandchildren doing the same to him ... or worse.

Congrats! My first grandchild was born in 2012. It feels great, doesn’t it? Now I’m going on number 5 in April.
