COVID-19: The Bigger Picture Hiding Behind the Virus

And second, that the “real world”, as it is presented to us, rarely reflects anything we might usefully be able to label as objective reality. It is a set of political, economic and social priorities that have been manufactured for us.]
[If you’re watching the TV or reading newspapers – and who isn’t – you’re probably feeling scared, either for yourself or for your loved ones. All you can think about is the coronavirus. Nothing else really seems that important by comparison. And all you can hope for is the moment when the lockdowns are over and life returns to normal.]
Maybe it's a sad reality, aspect of me, but my life, feelings, and thoughts haven't changed much. I've been stuck in this aspect, here, since late 2015. Have long ago found us, humans, to be the virus killing off our selves. There's no normal for me to return to. What does normal look and feel like? As long as I have Mary, our family of animals, and our time together I'm happy. Our most precious times are spent out riding when weather permits. 99.9999999999 outside of our home is fucking fake!
[Paradoxically, a craving for the old-normal may mean we are prepared to submit to a new-normal that could permanently deny us any chance of returning to the old-normal.]
In other words. Ordinary is making a quick new step over us.

Me. I do neither. Last had a TV in 1979. Newspapers arrive here a day late so I don't bother. News for too long has just been nasty.
