No, Carter lost the election due to interference with the hostage situation prolonging it. I wouldn't be surprised to someday find out they had a hand in causing it either. And the rescue attempt, everything possible that could go wrong went wrong. I find that rather, well, unbelievable.

I think Carter fell into the gap between a time before and today's move towards colonial globalism. I often claim Carter was one of the best presidents we've had since JFK. I believe the Deep State began it's move when JFK was president, he was getting to real for the upcoming agenda. This is the era GHWB, Cheney, and Rumsfeld began making their power run and mark on society, worldwide. Carter also being to realistic to allow another 4 years. I mean, for christ sakes, what was he thinking when he put solar panels on the white house!?! When we have decades left of petroleum making material in the ground to lay waste to the planet and pockets to drain. Yea, he took the religion aspect of his life to serious for them to allow to carry on. An aspect of life they all use to propel themselves higher but really don't believe in. They knew via the bush family that the Saudi's were in the bag with the agenda. What's a little hiccup in the 70's when all you need is to get the right puppet masquerading as a leader, Reagan, you can control while aggressively starting the agenda. Carter was an obstacle for being more of what we would want today. Although he was forced to play the agenda game in the middle east to a point, which ultimately was used to set him up for failure. Yea, they did a good job of making him look bad.
