Ok, so there’s a knock at the door.
2 older ladies (twin-set & pearls etc).
One sort of makes her way up the step as if she’s actually going to come inside & is a bit affronted that I stand firm so she has to go back down (or we’d be touching noses!)
I smile, I listen etc & then out comes the flyer about Jehovah etc etc,
So I say, very politely
“Ah! God stuff. Ok, if I may just stop you; I’m an unapologetic atheist, so this really isn’t my thing”
“That’s ok. Don’t apologise. I just hope you find him soon.”
“And I hope you realise it’s all nonsense soon.”
“What?”
“What?”
“Have a lovely day. Byyyye.”

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.I usually start with 2 Samuel 12:11 and ask them why they think rape is OK. They usually say they don’t think it is OK. So I ask why since their god seems to be totally fine with it and even commands it? They are usually trying to leave by this time as they have never come up with a reasonable answer.
