I came for the dating, but am finding I rather like the community.

Came here out of curiosity and stayed for the sound bunch of people. This is one of the few online groups I've come across where the conversation is almost always balanced, respectful and reflective.

I’m reminded of the commercial with a little Hispanic girl who solved the conundrum of soft tacos or hard tacos. Her answer? “Why not both?”

I originally created a profile for dating, realized that was likely never going to happen, and am now basically here for conversation

I am here because I am not judged for being atheist. FB has so many religious fucks it drives me crazy. I have only 1 friend in fb who is an Athiest but she's in the closet about it.

I initially joined just to see what it was like, but the conversations on here seem more hopeful than finding a date so I am good with that. I know I am a trout in a catfish pond...lol

I joined wistfully thinking 85% just for conversation, 15% hope to find someone who thinks like me and could participate in my life in more fun ways than just conversation. In reality, maybe 99% conversation and 1% possibility of dating. That's okay - the conversations and topics raised are probably more interesting than a date anyway!

If dating is socializing, having fun, good conversations, sometimes leading to more, aren't we all on this site looking for like-minds for on-line dating, another word for socializing, just like the face-to-face kind? LLOL.
