Some may spin, but most of the tricks/positions would be far harder, even dangerous, if they spun.

unless you are talking by experience, I think the pole does not freely spin but has some resistance.

@Lukian just a fixed pole...strip club owners are Cheeeeeeaaap! Spinning poles would be $$$$!
