Have my dog shit on different spots on my neighbor's lawn so he won't have to use fertilizer that runs off into the water table.

I occasionally go dumpster diving in Manhattan with a vegan friend of mine .She knows where all the high end health food stores are.It is unbelievable how much perfectly good PACKAGED food is discarded due to those expiration dates. Fifteen dollar sealed jars of cashew butter for instance that may be 1 day past the expiration date .

Brilliant! Wasted food is a crime. I am so glad that someone has the balls to go and claim it. Good on you!

Wow, great initiative, i used to dumpster dive when my kids were little, now the supermkts all lock their bins. Such a waste of good food. Its criminal.

@Happygypsynana The reason we go to Manhattan is they dispose of every thing in front of the stores on the sidewalk and this is puplic property. The store owners do not have the right to make you leave, and they do not lock the dumpsters.

The amount of effort wracking my brain for an affirmative answer proves that I am a shitty superficial person.
Thanks.

I'm part of a volunteer garden group of learning disabled adults at Quarr Abbey on the Isle of Wight 🙂

Fantastic. I lived on IOW from 10-25. I must say I do miss parts of it. And I love Quarr Abbey!

@Geoffrey51 It's probably changed a great deal since you last saw it. They got lottery funding a couple of years ago so have landscaped it sympathetically, the pigs have a proper sty (4 in fact) There's a visitor centre explaining the history of the Abbey and the tea room and shop have been (re)built so it's usually very busy with nice range of foods and items grown at the Abbey. And it's still a lovely place to hang out and enjoy the wildlife.

There's only 8 monks left now, some are a bit more visible than others and they rent/hire out rooms as a retreat without any religious preconditions, which is refreshing 🙂

@ipdg77 Fantastic. I wanted to be a monk once when I went there. I only felt it for a day but it seemed so peaceful and a vocation worth following. I hope you have a great time there... and I am pleased about the piggies!

Hi, Happygypsy, and welcome to the website,

In my case, bird and wildlife photography, riding the waves at Samila Beach, here in Songkhla, Thailand, hiking, etc

This website has a bit of a learning curve so here is some information that might be helpful.

You earn website points, and help other members get to know you better, when you write an informational profile that includes your hobbies and interests, and answer all the profile questions, since that's the first place many people look when they see a new member.

You've done some of this already.

The website uses your profile to find member matches, so the more details you include, the better the match.

Then you make comments and write your own posts to earn more points and privileges; for instance, at level two you can private email people. You get different perks with each level, and when you reach level eight you get an agnostic T-shirt.

To find members near you, click on the "Meet" button at the top of the page, then on "Members," and enter your preferred search parameters.
Or click on the "About" button at the top of the page to find links to FAQ or the website tutorial.
Click on the 'Meet" button to find member matches

Levels are mostly a way to help identify and reward those who contribute to the growth of the community. The website also gives more access and benefits depending on level.[agnostic.com]

Perks for each level: [agnostic.com]

Links to FAQ: [agnostic.com],
and a website tutorial: [agnostic.com]

Thanks for that I'l work on itl
