I found out this morning that I have Lyme disease. I've seen that for most people, it is manageable with the right antibiotics. I work 3 jobs. I don't have time for fatigue. Any thoughts on how to combat it without going crazy with energy drinks?

I would first recommend a second opinion. My doctor told me I had lupus, and the next one said I didn’t.

I've had Lyme Disease twice already. I live in a very wooded area and the deer are always on my property...my cats probably bring in the ticks. Both times they gave me cipro within a few days of when I had the horrible symptoms...and those can be horrific. For me, it was the intense muscle pain. I have had no symptoms or side affects at all...the first time was 2004, the second, 2014. Try to keep healthy and at a good weight to save your joints down the road. I heard it can flair up again since you will always have the antigen.

The antibiotics will start being felt in a few days. However, for good progress you Must slow down a bit for a couple of weeks...catnaps between jobs, maybe? Even 20 minutes of "shut-eye can help keep you charged.

"Taking CBD oil for Lyme disease or consuming the Cannabis in its edible form is highly efficient at eliminating the cause of Lyme disease,i.e., the bacteria present inside the body along with the repair of full-blown damage to the immune and nervous system.

CBD in CBD oil is one of the 113 cannabinoids derived from the Cannabis plant. It modulates the receptors present throughout the body which includes CB1 and CB2 receptors.

The stimulation of these receptors leads to the decrease in cytokines associated with Lyme disease, relieving the inflammatory and neuropathic pain in such patients.

CBD oil is highly effective as an anti-bacterial, antiviral and anti-fungal agent. The cannabinoids present in the Cannabis plant are useful in treating various symptoms associated with Lyme disease, and is safe and non-addictive.

However, the opioid medications which are used by the patients of Lyme disease suffer from severe adverse effects along with addiction to these drugs.

The antibiotic treatment for curing Lyme disease results in the damaging effects to the healthy flora of the GIT or gastrointestinal tract, leaving the body attacked by the viral, fungal and bacterial infections.

The consumption of CBD oil aids in stimulating the CB1 receptors which help in repairing the gastrointestinal tract.

The use of CBD Oil also reduces the symptoms associated with antibiotic use such as food sensitivity, stomach pain, and diarrhea."

You are very wise to think ahead and know that you will need a game plan. Most people don't do that and the road is that much harder. I don't have any suggestions but patients yourself on the back for being proactive in your healthcare. Best of luck

Green tea

You might want to post in the Auto Immune group.

That's what Lyme targets.

2

Eat food that will boost your energy: Eggs, lentil, spinach, dark chocolate, bananas, water, beans, salmon.....

Whoa!
Energy drinks may indeed exacerbate your condition!!! Were you diagnosed by a doctor?
Let the medical pros prescribe a treatment for you.

Best advice here.
