I'm probably the outlier here, but I think fireworks are overrated and over done. Every city seems to have to put on fireworks, and not just for the 4th of July anymore. They scare young children and animals What do you think about fireworks?

I do not pay any mind to them any more and can tolerated a little celebration and noise for a short time.

if you have kids its fun as you get older not as much and some use it to connect with ppl they don't see often so depends on what you want from them of course after 70 of them there isnt much to surprise but the look on great grand babies faces is worth it

Seen to many displays, it's the same thing time and again, not interested anymore.

The town of my heart, Savannah, GA has on occasion done fireworks to the 1812 Overture and then that Duck Maybe Somebody's Mother song.

Also have lived next to a dirt track motor speedway where they did them every weekend during the summer.

Cat would sit out on the porch rail and watch.

That was an awesome cat.

Lived on US Hwy 80 at the time and she would visit the neighbors across the street through a culvert under the street.

Way too smart to cross over.

And before I am shunned for allowing an animal outside at all, she was not one to be contained. Visiting all the neighbors. She got so fat.

I don't normally care for them all that much, and agree it can be costly and there is always the safety concern. But, here on Kauai, our Navy Base, Pacific Missile Range Facility, puts on a fantastic show on July 3rd, not only for the military families there, but the public is welcome as well, all for free. They have live bands, playing on the beach, as the sun sets over the ocean, and then after dark, a spectacular fireworks show set to music begins.

It's a real morale booster, and will be welcome this year particularly, as it's sometimes hard for us in the public sector to remember how wonderful and blessed we are to live in America! We are surely going through some bumps right now, but better times are ahead, we can only hope!

I like them, in my neighborhood, they are so strong that it makes me feel something of a War Zone that our Vets experienced ,and to me that is valuable. One time I got really scared and felt pinned down, and the rockets where exploding and there was the sound of the launcher that sounds like a rocket launcher. I am an imaginative person this is true.

That's a refreshingly interesting take on it....

Good fireworks are worth the time, especially if they are accompanied by good classical music. I use to live done the street from Disneyland; fireworks every night, twice on nightly on week-ends. It was always fun.

I have PTSD so I REALLY hate fire works. But I understand they are popular and fun for others... just not most of us.

In the meh group. I don't go out of my way to see any. Where I live they had their festival the last few days with fireworks last night. Sitting at my pc I could look out the window and just see a couple over the tree line, good enough.

It was WAY more fun when I was growing up.
