Down from 237 to 209 now. I've been losing weight since I had a gall bladder attack on May 18th. Went to the ER. Before that, one of my meds was making me hungry too. I replaced it. Going to try to keep losing weight until I lose my belly. Years ago I started gaining weight, because my doctor put me on Prednizone, Kentucky doctors prescribe it for every ailment likes it candy for severe case of poison ivy. I gained 20 lbs right away. When I started trucking years ago, I weighed 180. By the time I stopped trucking, I was 245. I had to be bigger and stronger to unload heavy freight and lift and connect trailers together with very heavy dollies. I ate too much unhealthy food on the road. Lot's of Wendy's and truckstops.

Good for you, John. Weight loss can be difficult and sounds like you have found something that works for you! Keep it up!

Most of it was what I laughingly named the 'gallstone diet' lol I couldn't eat solid food for over a week. Just liquids. I think a change in a depression medication, that I take everyday from Paxil to Bupropion, could be causing my huge lack of appetite and dramatic weight loss now. A very nice side effect. I lost what I think would be like carrying one concrete block in each hand and walking around with them all the time. I feel so much lighter. Whew!

Right on, John. I hope you keep going on the right track. We will all be here to lend support.

Thanks, Gracey! You're so awesome!!

@JohnINFP Most people say I'm amazing but awesome will do. LOL.

@graceylou Of course you are amazing too! That's how I feel even I don't say it. I would get on your nerves if I put that in every comment I send you. Lol

@JohnINFP That is ok. Enough people sing it in churches around the world. And it's Sunday too you know. LOL.

@graceylou Right, too many people are singing it. Sunday. Right. I had lost track of the days. LOL back at cha.

Keep it up! I'm right there with you as far as the weight thing. I'm about 210, just wanting to get to 190, I know I'll never get back to 180 again. I've also been on prednizone before and it made me angry.

Congratulations on your successful weight loss. I found that a regimen of resistance workouts like weights or a bowflex machine helped me stay on track with my diet. After a month or two you'll see physical changes that will encourage good behavior on your part. I know it's but after you start to see results you'll want to continue. BTW you can usually get equipment cheap on Craigs list from people who give up to soon.
