Do you feel a weird sort of kinship when you see others with the same car as you?

In my town, before my current car I drove a gray freestyle. There was one other person with the same car in the same color and I always kinda was amused when I would see it because "oh there goes my twin"

Now I have a black escape and ANOTHER single one person in my town has the same thing in black and I do the same thing. "Haha twins."

Pretty much every third car in my complex is a white SUV, so no kinship as much as, “Damn, tried to open the wrong car door again.”

Yes. After I bought my current car, years ago, I'd see the same car, same color and similar license plate number, so I figure they came over on the same barge and were licensed together after arriving at the harbor. The driver was a silver haired lady, so I wondered if I had bought an "old lady" car, haha. I don't see it on the road anymore, but a few months ago I saw (possibly) that car on craigslist being parted out, so I'm appreciative of every mile my car takes me, since I feel it could give out at any time.

I always feel like a head nod is order.

Quantum mechanics supposedly tells us that something does not exist until it is seen (measured). That is the reason I use this rule when I cannot find my keys.

Lmao I love it

Lol

I don't and I hate it when people who drive certain specially types of rigs have to honk at each other and be like some kind of weird community it's just a car dammit I've ridden with people who have jeeps and it's like a damn cult

I drove a shitty car and got stares and kids say "ewew". I drove a shitty truck and suddenly everyone driving a truck waved or nodded I felt like I joined some secret club

It is a cult. Jeep Wranglers and Harley riders are in a world of their own. I still miss my wrangler and will prolly buy another one someday.

It's very common amongst jeep wrangler drivers. I owned a 93 wrangler and everytime I passed another wrangler we would always nod or wave at each other. Never knew who the other person was. Funniest thing. Motorcyclist are the same way. Pass each other and point their left hand down.

I don't know if there's another car like mine in town or not. There probably is since it's a Hyundai Accent. I know I've seen several in other colors. Doesn't matter though. As soon as I get the cash saved up my car will be unique again. I'm going to have some paint added to my car. My cars always tend to be unique in some way or another.

Yes. I haven't seen my color ever and I'm on the hunt!

I usually have vehicles that are a bit different so if I see one I tend to give a wave and they tend to wave back, sometimes they wave before I do so I guess there is a bit of a kinship between people that are interested in the same kind of car. Definitely used to happen when we drove older Saabs and when I had a Land Rover and now with the Jaguar even though it's just a baby Jag Type X.

Oddly enough I didn't find this when I drove Mercedes or BMW or Audi, not so much as a nod and when I drove a Jaguar Vanden Plas for a while back in the late 80's and again in the early 2000's there was never more than a bit of a nod, very stayed and conservative Jaguar drivers, sometimes I would just wave my ass of at them like an idiot for the fun of seeing the look on their faces. lol

Didn't realize how many other cars looked like mine until I bought it.

Yup to the point that I tried to put my key in the door of the "Twin" when we were in the same parking lot!

In retrospect I really needed a bumper sticker? lol
