Better Christians would be miserable if they truly lived as it is written in their instructional manual.
@PeacefulChaos Thats the old school laws of judaism youre thinking of. Jesus’ principles would be pretty easy to live by but theyd have to accept immigrants, children, prostitutes, consort with and forgive criminals, forsake materialism and vote for democratic socialism in order to live by JC’s rules. It would be easy for most kind folks but yeah nevermind youre right theyd be miserable lol.

This reminded me of the Christian metal band As I Lay Dying's lead singer Tim Lambesis, who tried to hire a hitman to kill his wife.

I'd like to go over there to live... nto just because of a lack of Christian rock bands, but simply because the average standard of living is higher in the Netherlands than in the U.S.
That is probably because Holland has a very discerning ear for proper music that requires an artistic temperament rather than guitar bash and inane lyrics. I feel that most of the successful UK bands could advance was because of being able to tour Europe with a discerning audience so only the best got through. America, like Australia, was self-referencing and developed in their respective bubbles. Only in Europe would have been born the eclectic breadth of Led Zepprlin and Amon Duul
The only one I like is Skillet and mostly because I can pretend they aren't a Christian rock band

When I was a teenager I was 'born again' at a christian rock concert. Can't remember the name of the band. Lasted a couple of years then I saw the light. ? helped by one of the elders trying very hard to sleep with me. He failed. ?

Why am I not surprised an elder tried to do that?
I had listened to some not heavy and heavy christians rock bands but I was not into rock anymore so to me their effort was wasted. In fact one of the greatest salsa acts ever and the subject of my only published press work switched to christian salsa for many, many years. Don't know if still is... Never heard Christian Jazz.... that will get my attention for a few bars for sure. Religion is a money making biz... some will sell their soul for an audience, a captive audience... some may not be that good but... money talks to some more than others. Some good musicians for sure are milking it.
