When I've been told to "go to hell" I respond that I've already been there.

Heaven for atmosphere, hell for company.

In hell I'll be in good company... The Dead South

I've been to hell but was kept out in the cold because of all the priests huddling around the fire. (Almost plagiarized from a piece written by Douglas Adams)

I've been to Hell... it's a lively bar and restaurant in Rothenburg ob der Tauber. ?

I have been to Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Last time I was there was December 5th, 1987.

@HippieChick58 Since it's Europe's most well-preserved medieval city, I imagine not much changed in the 20 years between our visits. ?

I use either the same reply as you or say 'You first' 🙂

I like your response. I'll have to remember that one.

So l take it you haven't been to West Texas?

As a matter of fact, I have visited East Texas and South Texas. I have been as far west in Texas as San Antonio.

@HippieChick58 Then you have been to Hell. I do love San Antonio.

@Sticks48 I enjoyed San Antonio. I love strolling the River Walk. Not so crazy about the heat and the liquid air, but I like the vibe I got from the city.

@HippieChick58 Just like most places, it depends on the time of year. The River Walk is beautiful, at Christmas it is SPECTACULAR! You can probably Google the photos.

I enlisted in the USAF in 1969, and went to Lackland AFB, outside of San Antonio, for basic training, arriving in July of that year. As soon as I stepped off the plane, I had a heat rash from head to toe.

@Condor5 l can believe that.

I live in a country where Trump is president. You can't get more hell than that.

I always get a chuckle when I hear some one telling me that I'm going to hell.
It's so unbelievable to me that there are still people that believe in that crap. I don't want to rude to them, but it is really hard to surpress a good laugh.

You should add that you were surprised not to see them there.

Hell is a village in Norway and the pictures make it look like a lovely place to visit

I've been known to bow with a flourish and say, "Lead the way."

Just realised it’s been ages since someone has told me to go to hell.

Idk about carrying around, but figuratively speaking enough of that while on this spinning ball as it is.

This is really good.

I respond with, "I'd rather go to Hell than be in Heaven with people like you."

Good comeback on that line !
