Do you care what side of the bed you sleep on when you're sharing? What side are you taking?

When I was married he had to have the right side so obviously I was on the left. Currently I’m all over the place. But if a fellow does stay over I joke I’m ambidextrous in bed and let them pick their side.

At my age, both my wife and I prefer that I take the side nearest the bathroom ...

2

The side nearest to the bathroom. But if I'm staying over at someone else's house, I won't ask them to give up their side.

2

I don’t mind having one side or another. I need be facing the doorway though.

2

I prefer the left side. That way I can hold my sweetie with my right arm under her and my left arm over her.

I sleep on the left side....and my rattie sleeps on the right side because it's nearer to his food, litter box, and water dish. I usually throw some laundry on his side of the bed for him to snuggle in....like a towel, a fleece jacket...a sock or two...he like to burrow under them to sleep at night 🙂 He's been free-roam and sleeping with me for 16 months now and has never let me roll over on him in while I'm asleep. I figure he's pretty clever and can feel when I start to move and he gets out of my way (or just avoids my space when I'm asleep).

Yep. if you're standing at the foot of the bed, looking towards the headboard, i sleep on the left side.

Since I sleep alone, I sleep on different sides to wear out the mattress evenly on both sides. LOL

you could just rotate the mattress... just sayin'

I don't care, but my dog on the other hand...

1

I like the right side.

1

No. My bed is all mine...............(say's while grinning and twirling moustache!)

1

Doesn't really matter. Used to be the side closest to the phone (landline), the door, and the bathroom. Now, I don't share and it's smack in the middle.

0

Absolutely. My right hand must be free, so I lie and sleep on the lh side looking from the end of the bed. ?

It depends on the room logistics. Is the bed in the middle of the room or against a wall?

0

No, not usually. Either side is fine unless it is up against a wall. I need easy access to get up and run to the bathroom. Lol. But whether sharing or alone I pretty much stay on my side, unless I'm cuddling. ?

I don’t personally care. My dog hogs the bed anyway

The side where the Sex is going to happen?

Nah, you don't want that one, that will be the wet spot.

@FarmerFritz52 beats a wet dream and a restless loud snore.

The person with the most active overnight bladder (or bowels) should sleep on the potty side.
I don't see the intruder/escape through the door side as being viable since they would be between you and the door.

Go out the window. Crap second floor. C'mon 50+ ankles and knees.

Violent intruders are about as common as a Sharknado though, if you aren't already involved with the criminal fringe in some way.

What ever the cat & dog & dog & dog & guinea pig, & fleas permit me. King size bed for a king size family. Boyfriends sleeps on the floor.

Seems like the majority have it right! I also chose the right but for an odd reason. I have a minor disability in that my right ankle is fused and I can't bend my foot (much). On the right side I am more comfortable with my foot draped over the edge of the bed (I am a side or stomach sleeper).

I sleep on the right side of my bed right now.... the dogs need the left, (and most of the right).

0

I am used to right and my dogs hog the rest.

Ypost-divorce, I noticed I was sleeping on "my" side on a Huge bed in a tiny room...now I have a twin, easily disguised as a couch, and plenty of floor space. 2 tiny dogs fit fine too.

Either side, but preferably with a clean escape to the door. If you wake up with a "two-bagger" who is sleeping on your arm, you can chew it off and make your way out undetected.

0

I can do both but I prefer the right.
That's also because, when I'm on my side, I like facing left. It's more comfortable. That way, I'm facing her or at least spooning while her head is on my left arm.
