Do you care what side of the bed you sleep on when you're sharing? What side are you taking?
When I was married he had to have the right side so obviously I was on the left. Currently I’m all over the place. But if a fellow does stay over I joke I’m ambidextrous in bed and let them pick their side.
I don’t mind having one side or another. I need be facing the doorway though.
I prefer the left side. That way I can hold my sweetie with my right arm under her and my left arm over her.
I sleep on the left side....and my rattie sleeps on the right side because it's nearer to his food, litter box, and water dish. I usually throw some laundry on his side of the bed for him to snuggle in....like a towel, a fleece jacket...a sock or two...he like to burrow under them to sleep at night He's been free-roam and sleeping with me for 16 months now and has never let me roll over on him in while I'm asleep. I figure he's pretty clever and can feel when I start to move and he gets out of my way (or just avoids my space when I'm asleep).
Since I sleep alone, I sleep on different sides to wear out the mattress evenly on both sides. LOL
you could just rotate the mattress... just sayin'
No. My bed is all mine...............(say's while grinning and twirling moustache!)
Absolutely. My right hand must be free, so I lie and sleep on the lh side looking from the end of the bed. ?
It depends on the room logistics. Is the bed in the middle of the room or against a wall?
The side where the Sex is going to happen?
Nah, you don't want that one, that will be the wet spot.
@FarmerFritz52 beats a wet dream and a restless loud snore.
The person with the most active overnight bladder (or bowels) should sleep on the potty side.
I don't see the intruder/escape through the door side as being viable since they would be between you and the door.
Go out the window. Crap second floor. C'mon 50+ ankles and knees.
Violent intruders are about as common as a Sharknado though, if you aren't already involved with the criminal fringe in some way.
Seems like the majority have it right! I also chose the right but for an odd reason. I have a minor disability in that my right ankle is fused and I can't bend my foot (much). On the right side I am more comfortable with my foot draped over the edge of the bed (I am a side or stomach sleeper).
I sleep on the right side of my bed right now.... the dogs need the left, (and most of the right).
Ypost-divorce, I noticed I was sleeping on "my" side on a Huge bed in a tiny room...now I have a twin, easily disguised as a couch, and plenty of floor space. 2 tiny dogs fit fine too.
