One's about as useful as the other. Sorry, I don't mean to be a downer. Hope is always a good thing to have.

It's the same thing. Even the Greek word translated "prayer" in the Bible has multiple meanings; to demand, to assume, to wish, to plead and beg (the one used by religious people), to allow.
