I am seriously getting into marzens. My favorite brewery though is Southern Tier out of Lakewood NY. And they just opened up in my old neighborhood of Lakewood OH. They make the best pumpkin beer I have ever had. Check them out!

I like crispy hoppy pilsners and IPAs. I wasn't a big fan of the "juicy" NEIPA craze. I hope the brut IPA style catches on as it is dryer and more refreshing.

The ones I make. Small runs, but each one is unique. I generally make IPAs, pale ales, and stouts. I enjoy experimenting with different yeasts, grains, and hops.

I drink Jever Pilsener when I am home in Germany. Here, I try IPAs but stay away from flavored beer. That's a crime against nature in my world.

@Byrdsfan Ja, in Bremerhafen. I used to go dancing there! Jever Pilsener now comes in little kegs, I think 3 gallons, you know, personal size. Das Reinheitsgebots has probably already undergone some modification because of the European Common Union, but I still cannot bring myself to drink flavored beer,. The Kneipen in my little village also had Dortmunder on tap. I drink mainly Pilsener Urquell here in NY- Beck's has sold their license to some American company and I don't trust it anymore.

@Byrdsfan Keine Ahnung! That was so long ago! The place was right by the harbor. We loved dancing with the GIs I used to take the train from Oldenburg and come back with the first one in the am, with all the workers and their lunch buckets. That was in 1968 or thereabouts.

Creaft beers are made in smaller batches and cater to unique tastes.

My favorite has always been Dunkelweizen, served at room temperature, which is a darker, stronger version of Bavarian wheat beer.

Great topic. I am actually a homebrewer so I consider myself an educated beer palate. I find overall my tastes trend more Rocky Mountains and West (Uinta, Stone, etc.) with some East Coast faves like Dogfish Head and Victory, but I am now in Florida so I have to say we have decent craft breweries here. I'm a fan of Tomoka, Cigar City, and Funky Buddha. There are a lot of new startups that are becoming more accomplished. I'd like to highlight this one. It's green and it's good, and I think most of us Craft Beer fans are ecologically-oriented. [iflscience.com]

Not sure if it counts as craft beer but I love a beer from Guelph, ONT called Upper Canada Rebellion. Very good on tap and in cans.

Sounds interesting.

I live in the general Portland Oregon area, which has more breweries per capita than any other area of the world... or so they claim.

I do liek that each time I try a new place to eat there re also new beers to try.

Pretty much anything from Avery, especially when they roll out their ABV pumpkin beers. Since moving to NC, I cannot get them here.

My summer favorite is OBP 2 from Orange Blossom Brewing. Very light and drinkable, surpringly so at 11%.

I saw the "pumpkin beer) at Total Wine, but neither my sister or I felt brave enough to get a six pack. I may check to see if they sell singles of it.

There's too much ipas lol, but I do live in a beer town and we have some great ones, aslan dawn patrol for instance, but some that I have personally enjoyed from everywhere are, odins gift, good as Pacific ale, wander uncommon, tenpin groove pineapple wheat is filling but delicious, any kind of hefeweizen is great to me though, favorite import is warsteiner

I find IPAs to be too bitter myself.

Sticking to NC brews, Hoppyum and Bond Brothers Local IPA come to mind. Bond Brothers brewery is about a mile from where I live, and within walking distance to Jordan Lake brewery and 3 or 4 bottle shops. If you're in the area, you should try them out.

Mother Earth is a great NC brewery.

I'm not the dedicated beer fan I used to be. I'm afraid that's what happens when you move away from Seattle.

But I used to love Moss Bay Extra from Hale's. It had so much flavor and edge that after a few pints you'd usually start to feel a little queasy. But those first few were heaven.

I like a lot of different kinds.
But my favorite is Tucher. It comes from Fürth, Nuremberg, Germany.
It's a vison.

No longer in production, but Samuel Adams Hallertau imperial pils is top of my list and has been the inspiration for several beers I've made. For the purpose of variety, I'll say Stone Enjoy By. Sublimely Self Righteous was fantastic. Arrogant Bastard is great, too.

I was introduced to dark beer in Germany in the early 80s (they call it Alt Bier, or Dunkel Bier, with Dunkel being the literal translation). For a long time I enjoyed various amber ales like Killian's and then Newcastle Brown. But I have moved on to Porters now and two favorites include a local beer called Macadamia Nut Porter by 6 Rivers Brewing, and Black Butte Porter by Deschutes Brewing.

IPA mania is driving me crazy.
