I think it's dangerous to place people in buckets. I'm sure many or all of those qualities also apply to other, less creative people.

As do other things that didn't make the list

Def8nitely not easily bored; except when doing humdrum or repetitive tasks. I get very bored very quickly doing housework!

I think that's normal for everyone . It's exceedingly repetitive , and seems it's never done .

@Cast1es My sister loves housework, she gets immense satisfaction from it. We hired a villa in Cyprus for a holiday one year and every day she’d be sweeping and cleaning and she did all the cooking. I felt guilty at first but soon realised that she was really enjoying herself.

I'm not easily bored, however I am easily distracted.

All those things (and more) can apply to anyone.

True.

Sometimes but I hate to put any personality type in a box

I agree.

I think that, like most positive personality traits..as with most negative personslity traits...they are almost all on a spectrum...

That is to say..a creative individual may recognise some of those characteristics..all of them..or hardly any.

The beauty is no matter what or who you are..you will always be wired slightly (or sometimes dramatically) differently to someone in the same perceived category.

Just like any human state or condition e.g introverts/Autistics/Sexdrive/ Emotional IQ..anything for that matter... IMO.

Well said.

Yah that sounds right. Wait, no it doesn't....hmmmm....Maybe

I would change the first one: easily distracted from things in which they view as unimportant and/or uninteresting.

3

Yup.

Sounds about right .

I think lists of personality traits like this one are usually shallow and meaningless. Most people, whether they're particularly creative or not, would read this list and feel like it's about them.
That's also how horoscopes work. And cold-reading mediums.

I tend to agree with you. Thanks for the comment.

Creative people make their own lists of what makes them creative people

True for me. However I am in no way and art/music creative...

1. Easily think up ways to overcome boredom (can personally confirm)
2. Can think of ways to accomplish goals without taking "risks" (e.g. careful analysis, planning, preparation, practice, etc.); risk-aversion, as an independent factor, may be high (can personally confirm 50%)
3. May have OCD or somesuch
4. May be highly logical/intellectual (can personally confirm)
5. Yeah, this one's probably right
6. As Picasso said, You have to know the rules like a pro, so you can break them like an artist. The existence of rules is foundational to the possibility of art.
7. Distribution of independence/codependence is most likely unrelated. Creativity often thrives in community.
8. Unrelated. Creative drive often accompanies single-mindedness.
9. Likely.
10. No argument there.

11. Frequently argumentative, for the hell of it 😛

My ex seems to be a creative person but what she really is is a total BITCH !!!!!

Bitch , a term used to describe a person who does not agree with everything you want ?

I definitely am eccentric and easily bored...I have no attention span...I don't make a lot of mistakes...I am very messy but organized when I create...so, I don't think all of those things can be applied to all creative people...it should be more of a pick and choose some, all, or none of the traits.

Messy desks

Sounds like Abraham Maslow. It's pretty acurate.

Right on
